Hormones: Cheap.By: beth, Team News Reporter
Something I've been meaning to mention, and I really haven't got around to it is Wal-Marts $4.00 prescription program. If you live in the U.S. Wal-Mart has a select amount of medications available for $4.00 a month. Now you may need to get your physician to alter your prescription a bit but this is awesome news for anyone on a budget or without healthcare. This includes Estradiol (Estrogen), Medroxyprogesterone (Progestin), & upto 25mg of Spironolactone (Anti-androgen)....

Yorkie Candy BarBy: beth, Team News Reporter
I just got back from London yesterday, and while I've got several stories to tell about my trip, one of the more interesting curiosities I came across was the Yorkie Candy bar. On the label it reads "It's not for Girls!" which right there cuts atleast 50% of your demographic market. I assume the marketing campaign must work, or they wouldn't be doing it. Unfortunately I didn't have the guts to buy one. Technically I fell in love with something called a double Decker, which is like a 3 Musketeer and a Nestles bar all in one. So I'm kind of interested now, any females "manned-up" enough to down a Yorkie bar?...
affordable facial hair removalBy: trannypuss, Team News Reporter
I know that I can not afford laser right now , and well, have found that the vaniqua , as bought through the online pharamacy [ inhouse] that I've been going to, tends to be quite expensive considering that it seems to hardly work and a 14 gm tube seems to not even last a month and is something like $ 28.00 US [ the full ounce size tubes[ 28 gms] , by the way at stop and shop supermarket pharmacy when you've got the RX needed to get them - are only like $35, or $39 I believe, for which I am not mad I forgot to ask my endocrinologist at callen lorde to RX this! and so, at the suggestion of somebody I met whom said she used premarin [ vaginal ] cream [ that estrogen made from well , pregant mares pee ] . in some ways , I have found that it seems to do similar to what the vaniqua does, not much at all [ unless maybe you get the laser at least once??? ] right now, with the laser running about $400 locally/ each session [ $200 for the face only+ $200 for the neck alone! in NY city's greenwich village, the whole face and neck's just $190 per session- much more competition obviously ! ] ...
Today on Donahue: TransgenderBy: beth, Team News Reporter
OK, word association: You say "transsexual talk show." I say "Jerry Springer." Yes, that's probably a fairly normal association into today's day and time. But do you remember Donahue? You know the white haired middle aged guy who looked somewhat like a sinister Captain Kangaroo? It was watching Donahue with my mother when I was about 8 years old I first discovered transsexuals existed. Technically you could say this was the beginning of the journey for me, the point at which I realized its possible to change your sex. It was a long time ago, and frankly I don't remember every detail surrounding the episode, but I can tell you I had toyed with the idea of wishing I was something other then what I was for some time prior to seeing that show. However, I never assumed it was possible to actually do it. I mostly made prayers in silence about how God might magically make the change, sadly unaware this wasn't going to happen....
Women NEED sleep.By: beth, Team News Reporter
I do not, with the least bit of doubt question this. Sleep is so much more important for me nowadays.
Insufficient sleep is bad for all – men, women and children – but researchers have woken up to the fact that women who are deprived of a good night’s sleep feel more grouchy than men do. A new study conducted by a team of researchers at Duke University, North Carolina, the United States, also shows that poor sleep adversely affects women’s overall health more severely than it does men. The ill-effects of poor sleep in women, researchers found, are so striking that they could increase the risk of diabetes, heart attack and stroke. Women who suffered from poor sleep were found to have higher levels of insulin and glucose – which are associated with an increased risk of Type 2 diabetes and heart disease. These women also had higher levels of fibrinogen, a clotting agent that is linked to stroke....
